SUBMIT A PRAYER REQUEST

Submit Your Prayer Request

When your prayers rise before God, they rise joined with Christ Himself.

You are invited to share whatever is on your heart. Scripture shows us that prayer is not unseen, unheard, or forgotten. Every cry, every whisper, and every burden brought before the Lord is received in heaven with great care.

Revelation chapter 8, verses 3 to 5 gives us a holy picture of what happens to the prayers of God’s people.

Scripture

Revelation chapter 8, verses 3 to 5 says:

“And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.

And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel’s hand.”

What This Reveals About Prayer

Scripture shows us that the prayers of the saints are brought before God like offerings placed on a golden altar. They are precious to Him.

But Revelation also shows us something even more important.

Our prayers do not rise to God by themselves. They rise with incense.

That incense represents Christ Himself.

The prayers of the saints are like golden bowls — they carry the prayers. But Christ is the incense added to those prayers — He is what makes them acceptable before God.

Our prayers are not received because they are perfectly spoken, or because we use the right words, or pray long enough. They are accepted because Christ is joined to them.

Christ, the Incense Joined to Our Prayers

Prayer does not begin with our ability. It begins with Christ’s intercession.

  • Our prayers are the containers
  • Christ is the content
  • God receives the prayers because they rise with Christ

When we pray, we are not trying to reach heaven on our own. We are joining a heavenly ministry that is already taking place. Christ Himself is interceding — and our prayers are brought into that intercession.

Before the Throne of God

Scripture tells us that the altar where these prayers are offered stands before the throne of God. The throne is the place of authority and God’s administration. When the prayers of the saints rise with the incense of Christ before the throne, God moves according to His will. His purposes advance, and His work on the earth goes forward.
